Sherifview Poem: Dancing in the Moon Light

Dance, love and romance
Turn the music and let's dance
Pour the Champagne in the glass
The moon is singing a serenade
Listen to the music melodies
to the happy tunes
Hold your partner closer
Float around
and tap your feet
Listen to the music soft beat
Wake up dreams
Look at the silver bright moon
the lucky diamond stars
The panorama lights
lightining the dark skies
feel the night chill
the cool breeze
Dance bit closer
feel your partner body warmth
Dance, love and romance
to the late hours of night
to the wee hours of the morning
Let the joyful time rolls
Hope it never ends

Abu al-Qasim al-Shabbi  The Poet of the Tunisia and Egyptian Revolution     At many of the protests in Tunisia, Egypt and elsewhere people have been chanting the verses of a Tunisian poet Abu al-Qasim al-Shabi .   Uvalde I’m struck with news and views today __ As youth and truth lie dead. Words bruise me in a mad melee __ Of mind-marauding dread. I’m stunned by words, too many heard __ To mull and comprehend— Cacophonies of what occurred __ And why we’ve reached this end. Excuses rise like ghostly smoke __ And choke my waning trust.
