What is the secret of a kiss?
It is this something you do not miss
When your lips touch your lover's lips
When there is awe and a little hiss
When you feel heaven and reach the sky
When there is euphoria and you get high
The kiss is a boat floating in memory lane
You can enjoy it any where
at a shadow of a tree or at sea shore
at top of mountain or just at the plain
You can feel it deep and sweet
It tastes as honey and sugar cane
So you know now what is a kiss?
It is something you should not miss

Abu al-Qasim al-Shabbi  The Poet of the Tunisia and Egyptian Revolution     At many of the protests in Tunisia, Egypt and elsewhere people have been chanting the verses of a Tunisian poet Abu al-Qasim al-Shabi .   Uvalde I’m struck with news and views today __ As youth and truth lie dead. Words bruise me in a mad melee __ Of mind-marauding dread. I’m stunned by words, too many heard __ To mull and comprehend— Cacophonies of what occurred __ And why we’ve reached this end. Excuses rise like ghostly smoke __ And choke my waning trust.
