Yellow, delicious
Gala?
Fuji?
Granny Smith?
Munchy, crunchy and sugary?
Mummy, Mummy apple pie?
Icy sweet apple juice
Cold and hot apple ciders?
Ooh, ooh apple we love you
All of your varieties
Sure, sure the secret way
Have an apple a day.
Keep healthy
and keep the doctors away

Abu al-Qasim al-Shabbi  The Poet of the Tunisia and Egyptian Revolution     At many of the protests in Tunisia, Egypt and elsewhere people have been chanting the verses of a Tunisian poet Abu al-Qasim al-Shabi .   Uvalde I’m struck with news and views today __ As youth and truth lie dead. Words bruise me in a mad melee __ Of mind-marauding dread. I’m stunned by words, too many heard __ To mull and comprehend— Cacophonies of what occurred __ And why we’ve reached this end. Excuses rise like ghostly smoke __ And choke my waning trust.
