How beautiful you are?
You sleeping on bed of flowers
The angels fly around guarding you
Sleeping beauty
How beautiful you are?
Your laced white night gown
How marvelous you look!
Your golden hair locks
Your rosy cheeks
Your honey sweet lips
Sleeping beauty
How beautiful you are?
Your budding bosom's
Your curvy body
Sleeping beauty

Abu al-Qasim al-Shabbi  The Poet of the Tunisia and Egyptian Revolution     At many of the protests in Tunisia, Egypt and elsewhere people have been chanting the verses of a Tunisian poet Abu al-Qasim al-Shabi .   Uvalde I’m struck with news and views today __ As youth and truth lie dead. Words bruise me in a mad melee __ Of mind-marauding dread. I’m stunned by words, too many heard __ To mull and comprehend— Cacophonies of what occurred __ And why we’ve reached this end. Excuses rise like ghostly smoke __ And choke my waning trust.
