She is the sunshine of my heart
Without Kristi
Shadows of darkness fill my heart
Kristy brings me joy
Kristy brings me happiness
She is the glaring light of my day
She is the diamond lights at night
My mind thinks about Kristi
She is my essence
So much I need her
I need her love
When she is around me
I feel fulfilled
I feel complete
So Kristi
You are
The silent melody
Ringing in my being
Every day and moment of my life

Abu al-Qasim al-Shabbi  The Poet of the Tunisia and Egyptian Revolution     At many of the protests in Tunisia, Egypt and elsewhere people have been chanting the verses of a Tunisian poet Abu al-Qasim al-Shabi .   Uvalde I’m struck with news and views today __ As youth and truth lie dead. Words bruise me in a mad melee __ Of mind-marauding dread. I’m stunned by words, too many heard __ To mull and comprehend— Cacophonies of what occurred __ And why we’ve reached this end. Excuses rise like ghostly smoke __ And choke my waning trust.
