I would write I love you
In neon lights
I would have it in marquee
In Las Vegas down town
In the Chanzalize Avenue
in Paris the city of lights
I will go to Africa
To the Kilimanjaro mountains
And will have sign
I love you on the top
I love you unconditionally
So you know
I will have the sign for you
Every place I go
I will have it
Even if I go to
Tibet and mountain Everest
So I love you
And you remember that
Any place I go
Any place you go

Abu al-Qasim al-Shabbi  The Poet of the Tunisia and Egyptian Revolution     At many of the protests in Tunisia, Egypt and elsewhere people have been chanting the verses of a Tunisian poet Abu al-Qasim al-Shabi .   Uvalde I’m struck with news and views today __ As youth and truth lie dead. Words bruise me in a mad melee __ Of mind-marauding dread. I’m stunned by words, too many heard __ To mull and comprehend— Cacophonies of what occurred __ And why we’ve reached this end. Excuses rise like ghostly smoke __ And choke my waning trust.
