What Is A Kiss?
What is the secret of a kiss?
It is this something you do not miss?
When the lips stick with lips
When there is awe and little hiss
The kiss is a boat in memory lane
You can have it in the river and plain
You can feel it deep and sweet
You can taste it as a honey and treat
So you know now what is a kiss?
It is something you should not miss

Abu al-Qasim al-Shabbi  The Poet of the Tunisia and Egyptian Revolution     At many of the protests in Tunisia, Egypt and elsewhere people have been chanting the verses of a Tunisian poet Abu al-Qasim al-Shabi .   Uvalde I’m struck with news and views today __ As youth and truth lie dead. Words bruise me in a mad melee __ Of mind-marauding dread. I’m stunned by words, too many heard __ To mull and comprehend— Cacophonies of what occurred __ And why we’ve reached this end. Excuses rise like ghostly smoke __ And choke my waning trust.
