Have you thought about the world?

How the world will look like?

When there are no wars and no fights

When there will be no pain and no sorrows

Problems be solved in cool means

There will be justice and no prejudice

When the dove of peace will soar

When the eagle of wars will fly away

The prayers of peace

is all what is needed

For sake of men, women and mankind

Goodbye the old world of War

And welcome, welcome the world of peace

Abu al-Qasim al-Shabbi  The Poet of the Tunisia and Egyptian Revolution     At many of the protests in Tunisia, Egypt and elsewhere people have been chanting the verses of a Tunisian poet Abu al-Qasim al-Shabi .   Uvalde I’m struck with news and views today __ As youth and truth lie dead. Words bruise me in a mad melee __ Of mind-marauding dread. I’m stunned by words, too many heard __ To mull and comprehend— Cacophonies of what occurred __ And why we’ve reached this end. Excuses rise like ghostly smoke __ And choke my waning trust. I glimpse a dagger beneath a cloak __ As details are discussed. The buzz and din and gab and spin __ Will bang on all year long, And rectitude will never win __ Unless we hear its song.
