Love is a Jewel
Like a diamond that glitters
at every angle there is a meaning
a secret that unfolds
There is deep love true and lasts
There is fake love that soon dims
Now there is love that flickers
The spark glows and dims
over and over in rendition
a puzzle, a dazzle you hope it is true love
In a whole try your luck
And get mesmerized with the glitter

Abu al-Qasim al-Shabbi  The Poet of the Tunisia and Egyptian Revolution     At many of the protests in Tunisia, Egypt and elsewhere people have been chanting the verses of a Tunisian poet Abu al-Qasim al-Shabi .   Uvalde I’m struck with news and views today __ As youth and truth lie dead. Words bruise me in a mad melee __ Of mind-marauding dread. I’m stunned by words, too many heard __ To mull and comprehend— Cacophonies of what occurred __ And why we’ve reached this end. Excuses rise like ghostly smoke __ And choke my waning trust.
