Poem Boston

Boston Boston Boston   ****the poem is under construction****
Boston is the Bride of New England
It is fascinating city
Played distinctive role in early history of America
Paul Revere announcing the British are coming
to the battles of Bunker Hill, Concord and the Lexington massacre
A city dates back to the time of the Puritans
A religious people who ran from the tyranny of rulers
Kings and Queens of England who denied them religious freedom
They adhered to strict rules when they arrived to America
Soon they became oppressors
They denied others of different religious persuasion
A welcome mat and accepting them reluctantly
A potato famine in Ireland changed every them
The Irish came in drove to Boston and New England
The face of the city changed
The era of the Puritans have faded
The king of England ruled arrogantly
Massachusetts at that time was in his eyes a colony
He drafted strict trade rules
He imposed taxes and levies
The Bostonians were angry
They resented and there response
No Taxation Without Representation
They mocked themselves as native Indians
They had a parted and dumped the tea shipments into the ocean
The spark of American independence was ignited

The battle of Bunker Hill
