Love is a melodious four-letters word
A haven of sweet tenderness
A temple for heart affection
A four-letters word
'L' is for the lilies
For the pure white innocence
For the refreshing fragrance
'O' for the orchids
For their delicate beauty
For their dazzling bright colors
'V' for the violet flowers
For their seductive colors
And their world of mystery
'E' is for ever-lasting
Happiness and joy
A bond of romance
A shrine of enduring commitment

Abu al-Qasim al-Shabbi  The Poet of the Tunisia and Egyptian Revolution     At many of the protests in Tunisia, Egypt and elsewhere people have been chanting the verses of a Tunisian poet Abu al-Qasim al-Shabi .   Uvalde I’m struck with news and views today __ As youth and truth lie dead. Words bruise me in a mad melee __ Of mind-marauding dread. I’m stunned by words, too many heard __ To mull and comprehend— Cacophonies of what occurred __ And why we’ve reached this end. Excuses rise like ghostly smoke __ And choke my waning trust.
