When you are in love
Your heart beats
You thinking about your love
The thoughts occupying your mind
You wish the time passes quickly
Dreaming the moments you meet
Every second, every moment seems too long
You wish your love soon to be around
Waiting for the door knocks
for a message or phone rings
To hear the voice and whispers of your love
For the eye to eye glances
For the tender touch
for the passionate embrace
for the song of hearts
for the beautiful serenades

Abu al-Qasim al-Shabbi  The Poet of the Tunisia and Egyptian Revolution     At many of the protests in Tunisia, Egypt and elsewhere people have been chanting the verses of a Tunisian poet Abu al-Qasim al-Shabi .   Uvalde I’m struck with news and views today __ As youth and truth lie dead. Words bruise me in a mad melee __ Of mind-marauding dread. I’m stunned by words, too many heard __ To mull and comprehend— Cacophonies of what occurred __ And why we’ve reached this end. Excuses rise like ghostly smoke __ And choke my waning trust.
