Date:Thu, Feb 18, 2016
ABC Poetry Contest
Possibly the most popular poem type (next to the Haiku) at FanStory is the ABC Poem. The ABC Poetry Contest challenges you to write an ABC poem. It is a simple and fun poem to write. The first letter of each line follows the alphabet.
Example:
Battling thoughts.
Choosing which option to follow.
Denied at every turn.
Endless pursuits.
Relationships confuse.

The first letter of the first four lines follow the order of the alphabet. The last line begins with any letter.  You can try it out and enter our ABC Poetry Contest. The deadline is this Monday.
If you are looking for something a little more dramatic and you are new to FanStory you can enter the Newbie Writing contest. To enter, write a story that begins with the sentence "Hell Found Me".  Write about anything for this contest - just start your story with this sentence. The deadline for this contest is this Saturday
We have many other contest deadlines approaching. With upgraded membership you can enter all contests for free. You'll get feedback for everything you write.  Details on membership. Or watch our video.
