Never new of love

It’s not just a matter of time 
Take a stroll with me, let’s go on a rendezvous
My passion is not a crime 
So what’s the harm if I’m with you

You know it takes two to tango
Let’s go make our own pantomime
I understand why you don’t want to go
You know your heart will be mine

I won’t lie
It’s not like I didn’t see this coming a mile away
So don’t cry
You know that I’m always here to stay

Just take my hand
We’ll keep dancing our worries away
I’ll make life grand
So please tell me that you’ll stay

I want to stare into your lovely eyes
Get mesmerized every single day
For you I’m ready to compromise
So tell me, what do you say?

I won’t let you go
I won’t let you through
You didn’t know
You never knew that I always loved you

Abu al-Qasim al-Shabbi  The Poet of the Tunisia and Egyptian Revolution     At many of the protests in Tunisia, Egypt and elsewhere people have been chanting the verses of a Tunisian poet Abu al-Qasim al-Shabi .   Uvalde I’m struck with news and views today __ As youth and truth lie dead. Words bruise me in a mad melee __ Of mind-marauding dread. I’m stunned by words, too many heard __ To mull and comprehend— Cacophonies of what occurred __ And why we’ve reached this end. Excuses rise like ghostly smoke __ And choke my waning trust.
