Daybreak Sunrise Poem
The sun that’s born at break of day brings light,
resurrected from the tomb of darkest night.
Slowly rising above the slumbering earth,
it spreads its golden sunshine with its birth.
The veil of night has slowly slipped away
and all the world awakes to greet the day.
The moon and stars have faded from all view,
and steel grey skies are turning aqua blue.
The snow white clouds are slowly sailing by,
Adrift on gentle breezes way up high,
and in the rolling meadows far below,
the buttercups and daisies start to grow.
The golden sunlight sparkles in the dew,
as nesting birds begin their flight anew.
and with the breaking of a brand new dawn,
a host of creatures rise to meet the morn.
