poem something to tide me over wolfspirit

something to tide me over

i tried hard to forget you
so full of emotion
so i took a trip,
got a room at the ocean

went out to the beach
and sat down at the shore
but your waves kept calling
every moment, came more

i heard your voice
in every shell
and the undertow
tried to drag me to hell

even the seagulls
were mocking me
"lay off, lay off"
they seemed to skree

laughing and calling
out your name
the sandpipers, no better
all running in shame

and just like your love
was this turbulent ocean
all topsy turvy
everything in motion
