Your Heart`s Beats

When you are caught in nest of love
Your heart beats tell an exciting story
The story of the one whom you fondly love
How you first met and how love took hold
The thoughts occupy your mind
Dreaming the moments you meet
Every second, every moment seem too long
You wish your love soon to be around
You wish the time passes quickly
Waiting for the door to knock
for the phone to ring to hurry
To hear the voice of your love
For exchanging eye to eye glances
For the tender sweet touch
for the passionate embrace
for the beats of your hearts
singing melodies
welcoming your love
with beautiful serenades

Abu al-Qasim al-Shabbi  The Poet of the Tunisia and Egyptian Revolution     At many of the protests in Tunisia, Egypt and elsewhere people have been chanting the verses of a Tunisian poet Abu al-Qasim al-Shabi .   Uvalde I’m struck with news and views today __ As youth and truth lie dead. Words bruise me in a mad melee __ Of mind-marauding dread. I’m stunned by words, too many heard __ To mull and comprehend— Cacophonies of what occurred __ And why we’ve reached this end. Excuses rise like ghostly smoke __ And choke my waning trust.
