Poem Forget the Past by Sherif Monem
Forget the past and its shadows
Forget the past that hurts
Do not torture yourself
Do not be swallowed with sadness
No place for life opening old wounds
In life not everything was pleasant
Every thing was not perfect
There may be some nagging memories
You may have hurt somebody
Others may have hurt you
In life you may have reached cross-roads
You had to make decisions
You might have done the right ones
You may have missed all together
There may have been opportunities
You may have grabbed them
You may have missed them
Life keeps going
So go along with it
Do not dwell of what have happened
What does hurt
Keep going
Keep going following the life track
Forget the past that hurts
Do not torture yourself
Do not be swallowed with sadness
No place for life opening old wounds
In life not everything was pleasant
Every thing was not perfect
There may be some nagging memories
You may have hurt somebody
Others may have hurt you
In life you may have reached cross-roads
You had to make decisions
You might have done the right ones
You may have missed all together
There may have been opportunities
You may have grabbed them
You may have missed them
Life keeps going
So go along with it
Do not dwell of what have happened
What does hurt
Keep going
Keep going following the life track
