I give you my love
I fulfill your desire
I give you comfort
when you are tired
I open my arms to you
when you need me
You are jewel of my heart
Love me sincerely
Love me abundantly
But don't cheat on me
Don't drift
Don't go stray
My love will not be for ever
Fight your temptation
I am here for you
But I will be gone
If you follow your whims
and cheat on me

Abu al-Qasim al-Shabbi  The Poet of the Tunisia and Egyptian Revolution     At many of the protests in Tunisia, Egypt and elsewhere people have been chanting the verses of a Tunisian poet Abu al-Qasim al-Shabi .   Uvalde I’m struck with news and views today __ As youth and truth lie dead. Words bruise me in a mad melee __ Of mind-marauding dread. I’m stunned by words, too many heard __ To mull and comprehend— Cacophonies of what occurred __ And why we’ve reached this end. Excuses rise like ghostly smoke __ And choke my waning trust.
