put smile on the child face
let it glow and shine
the child is new member of the human race
the child is born in new world
he needs to survive
she needs tender and care
if he is hungry he will cry
if she is lonely she will cry
we are all members of the human race
awe top of the animal kingdom
we are most social we are most of emotions
talk to the child and sing
touch and embrace
give the child food
give him and her drink
shelter and warm clothes
Smile to the child and he will smile back
Smile to the child and she will smile back

Abu al-Qasim al-Shabbi  The Poet of the Tunisia and Egyptian Revolution     At many of the protests in Tunisia, Egypt and elsewhere people have been chanting the verses of a Tunisian poet Abu al-Qasim al-Shabi .   Uvalde I’m struck with news and views today __ As youth and truth lie dead. Words bruise me in a mad melee __ Of mind-marauding dread. I’m stunned by words, too many heard __ To mull and comprehend— Cacophonies of what occurred __ And why we’ve reached this end. Excuses rise like ghostly smoke __ And choke my waning trust.
