It can be a reality
It can be an illusion
Some may feel it
Some may miss it
Joy of life is wonderful
You hope to overwhelm you
This may be the companion guide
Ever faithful to you
This may be the locomotive ride
Watching you through the journey of life
You wish happiness enshrines your days
It may make you feel
you want to live forever
There are others
who miss the train
Who may have some
hurt in their heart
Their pain lingers and not fade away
Their days are shaded with sadness
They wish they wither away
So joy of life
is all what one dreams
and one wish
that all others
Some day they cherish

Abu al-Qasim al-Shabbi  The Poet of the Tunisia and Egyptian Revolution     At many of the protests in Tunisia, Egypt and elsewhere people have been chanting the verses of a Tunisian poet Abu al-Qasim al-Shabi .   Uvalde I’m struck with news and views today __ As youth and truth lie dead. Words bruise me in a mad melee __ Of mind-marauding dread. I’m stunned by words, too many heard __ To mull and comprehend— Cacophonies of what occurred __ And why we’ve reached this end. Excuses rise like ghostly smoke __ And choke my waning trust.
