Days of life have ran slowly

Like water flowing in a long stream

Time have passed

Month after month

Year after year

The stages of life have rolled by

in amazing procession

So gradually, So smoothly

You do not feel it

Some were hard and struggle

Some with fortune and bless

Happy and sad moments mingled together

It looks the journey has been long

Now it looks the journey  is almost over

The Exit sign looms and flickers in the horizon

It flashes red at day and night

The exit sign approaches

Things about to change

You never know when

Life is over!

Farewell friends

Farewell loved ones

Farewell to the world

Abu al-Qasim al-Shabbi  The Poet of the Tunisia and Egyptian Revolution     At many of the protests in Tunisia, Egypt and elsewhere people have been chanting the verses of a Tunisian poet Abu al-Qasim al-Shabi .   Uvalde I’m struck with news and views today __ As youth and truth lie dead. Words bruise me in a mad melee __ Of mind-marauding dread. I’m stunned by words, too many heard __ To mull and comprehend— Cacophonies of what occurred __ And why we’ve reached this end. Excuses rise like ghostly smoke __ And choke my waning trust.
