Charles Darwin poem by Sherif Monem

Charles Darwin was young cool dude
On his majesty ship Beagle
He fared the lands and sees
He observed birds and fish
He studied plants and mammals
He came with fascinating conclusion
He claimed monkeys strangely enough
are our very ancient cousins
We together have common ancestors
He explained with fanfare
All species came about through evolution
It was a revolutionary fascinating idea
it brought tremendous protests and shock
The clergy did not like it a bit
They fought it tooth and nail
To our days Darwin brings controversy
Some have accepted his theory faithfully
Others sneer at evolution with rage
They swear his theory is of Satan
by God it is false and heresy
