Our trip on planet earth is short
The days pass so quickly
Months follow other months like flash
years pass after years in a whisper
stages of life do not look so long
You may not pass through of it all
once you are old
it is all certain that soon
it will be all over
How to taste the life?
Will it be all joy?
Happiness and dreams?
What is your goal?
Is it necessary to have goal?
For most of people it is survival
food, shelter and air to breath
You do not live alone
You have people you love
Most intimately may be father or mother
Sons or daughters
You wish this is true
Brothers? Sisters? siblings?
Such love may fail some
However, this love is shining torch
You are afraid to loose and some depart
And your heart is filled with sorrow
You worry for your own mortality
for the seen and unseen
You live on planet earth only once
You can hear deep in your heart
With sad tunes

Abu al-Qasim al-Shabbi  The Poet of the Tunisia and Egyptian Revolution     At many of the protests in Tunisia, Egypt and elsewhere people have been chanting the verses of a Tunisian poet Abu al-Qasim al-Shabi .   Uvalde I’m struck with news and views today __ As youth and truth lie dead. Words bruise me in a mad melee __ Of mind-marauding dread. I’m stunned by words, too many heard __ To mull and comprehend— Cacophonies of what occurred __ And why we’ve reached this end. Excuses rise like ghostly smoke __ And choke my waning trust.
